Monster of the Week: Melon Head

As the name implies, a Melon Head is a mysterious being, sometimes a child, who attacks humans. These creatures are said to exist in rural areas in parts of Michigan, Ohio, Connecticut, and other areas that have thick forests.

Although Melon Heads vary in appearance based on their location, all creatures are said to be humanoids with large, melon-like heads. They are said to be dwarfish, with long and slender arms and fingers. Some accounts tell of wide, red eyes and wickedly cracked and discolored teeth. Most Melon Heads have no hair at all.
