- The Kasa-obake is a sentient umbrella with one eye, one leg and a
long tongue that old umbrellas transform into. These creatures appear
frequently in legends and caricatures - however not in any eye-witness
story. Thank goodness, because in a way, it would freak people out more
than ghouls and monsters.
