In this village’s version of the hunt for the Loch Ness monster and Sasquatch, an annual search will be held in May to capture a mythical snakelike, bottle-shaped creature known as “tsuchinoko.”
Locals have been claiming sightings of tsuchinoko since the early days of the Showa Era (1926-1989), but its existence has never been confirmed.
