There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in our philosophy, for sure. We live in a mysterious world and all sorts of unexplained things happen every day… or do they?
There are a few things these days that science has managed to partially, if not entirely, lift the veil on. Seeing as the basic job description of a scientist is to unravel the mysteries of the universe (a pretty cool job description in anyone’s book), it is unsurprising that they have so far managed to de-mystify a fair few tales of the strange and the unexpected.
Perhaps there’s a little less magic in the world now, but there are also fewer evil demons that want to wear you like a pretty frock – which is possibly a good thing.
Despite what the likes of Derek Acorah and Uri Geller might tell you, there are some pretty mundane explanations behind their seemingly extraordinary abilities. Obviously, it’s great to keep an open mind, but it’s always worth remembering that there are people out there who can make a lot of money out of the monsters under your bed.
Stay curious, informed and fair-minded – but always, always be aware that if you open your mind too much, your brain may indeed fall out.
